Farmer's Market on Thursday's

The Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market is held every Thursday afternoon from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Berean Assembly of God Church parking lot. Stop by and check out a wide selection of locally-grown produce, baked goods, plants and canned goods. The market is located at 5299 E. University Avenue in Pleasant Hill. See you there tomorrow.

Volunteer for the River Run Garbage Grab on Friday, August 19

On Friday, August 19, 2016 volunteers are needed to clean up the river from Saylorville to Yellow Banks Park. The event allows volunteers to remove trash from the river or along its adjacent trails. Click here to volunteer for the event.

Mayor Monday storytime at the library

Mark your calendar's for Monday, August 15 at 7 pm for family storytime with Mayor Sara Kurovski at the Pleasant Hill Public Library. Mayor Kurovski will be reading fun books from the library and some of her personal favorites. We hope to see you next week Monday!

Try MANGO at the library

A fun, new learning aid called MANGO is now available through the Pleasant Hill Public Library. Mango is a collection of language instruction lessons in over 70 languages.

EVENTS

Art on the Lake: Saturday, September 17, 11 am-5 pm. Provides the public an opportunity to meet, talk with and purchase artwork from 20-30 Iowa artists while listening to live music. Kids are encouraged to attend and create an art project at the kids tent.
Halloween Party: Friday, October 21, 6:30-8 pm at Doanes Park Youth Center. Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume and come to enjoy indoor games, snacks and prizes. This event is sponsored by the Pleasant Hill Library and Parks & Recreation.
Firefighters' Pancake Breakfast: Saturday, October 15, 6:30-11 am at Fire Station, 5151 Maple Drive in Pleasant Hill. Families are encouraged to come meet their local fire department volunteers, friends and neighbors. Donations will benefit the firefighters association. Pancakes, sausage, milk, orange juice and coffee will be served.
