The City of Pleasant Hill is pleased to announce the recent hire of Rose Schroder as Planning Manager.
As the City’s Planning Manager, Schroder is responsible for implementing urban planning and community development activities and programs including reviewing development plans, implementation of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, and serves as the division manager in the community development department.
Schroder earned her B.S. in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University. She joins the City of Pleasant Hill after spending five years as a Senior Urban Planner for Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Des Moines. Before her role with Bolton & Menk, Inc., Schroder served the City of Council Bluffs for seventeen years, first as an Urban Planner and then as a Planning Coordinator.
“We are excited to have Rose join our team as the community continues to experience steady growth in commercial, industrial, and residential projects,” said Madeline Sturms, Assistant City Manager/Community Development Director. “Her previous experience allows her to make an immediate positive impact on our department and the City.”
When Schroder is not executing thoughtful plans for the City of Pleasant Hill, she enjoys cycling, kayaking, and hiking.
