Pleasant Hill Audit Produces Clean Opinion

Audit Manager, Dave Ellis, with Denman & Company presented the City of Pleasant Hill’s annual audit to City Council for the fiscal year 2022. The audit produced a clean opinion with no material weaknesses. The City did not exceed the budget in any functional areas and qualifies as a low-risk auditee.

“We continue to produce a clean audit with no material weaknesses each year,” says Ben Champ, Pleasant Hill City Manager. “It is evidence that our elected officials and city staff are transparent and maintain well-controlled finances that our community can trust.”

The report found the City in good financial standing. The City carries a general obligation bond rating of Aa3 assigned by a national rating agency to the City’s debt. This strong financial position allows City Council to make sound decisions.
