On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, Dave Ellis, Audit Manager with Denman & Company presented the City of Pleasant Hill’s annual audit for the fiscal year 2021. The audit produced a clean opinion with no material weaknesses. The City did not exceed the budget in any functional areas.
“Our annual audit verifies that our elected officials and city staff continue to achieved transparent and well-controlled finances,” says Ben Champ, Pleasant Hill City Manager.
The report found the City in good financial standing. The City carries a general obligation bond rating of Aa3 assigned by a national rating agency to the City’s debt. This allows City Council to make sound financial decisions.
