In response to the rapidly increasing COVID-19 numbers and hospitals reporting they are at capacity in Polk County, the City of Pleasant Hill is closing the Doanes Park Youth Center beginning on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 and the Pleasant Hill Public Library beginning on Friday, November 20, 2020. This measure will help us follow guidelines set by local, state, and federal health agencies. The Public Library will offer curbside pickup Mondays-Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can reserve books online for curbside pickup at https://pleasanthill.polarislibrary.com or by calling 515-266-7815. When arriving to pick up, please call 515-266-7815.
We are working closely with local, state, and federal partners to monitor this ever-changing situation. All of these accommodations will be in place until further notice while we continue to review and follow recommendations from public health officials. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we take an abundance of caution.
