Mosquito Spraying begins June 11th

no-mosquitoes

The mosquitoes have arrived! Our Public Works Department will begin mosquito spraying Thursday, June 11th at 7 p.m. Spraying will occur every Tuesday and Thursday evening between 7 and 10:30 p.m. They will spray all residential areas and trails.

The mist is an environmentally friendly product that is a "contact" insecticide. The product dissipates from the environment within hours of application and spraying does not occur if winds are higher than 10 mph.

To continue to protect yourself and your family against mosquitoes, the Iowa Department of Public Health suggests using bug spray and wearing long sleeves.
