Des Moines MPO Seeks Feedback from Residents on Long-Range Transportation Plan

Residents of Greater Des Moines are invited to give their feedback on a draft update to the region’s Long-Range Transportation Plan, Mobilizing Tomorrow. The long-range transportation plan is updated every five years by the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) to address the changing needs and priorities of the community, as well to adjust to evolving technologies and best practices in transportation. The Mobilizing Tomorrow update sets goals for the transportation system out to year 2050, and it outlines how the cities, counties and transit agencies of the metropolitan planning area will invest approximately $600 million in transportation funding over the next 35 years.

A link to the draft document is included below, with links to each of the four chapters and eight appendixes, along with comment forms for each section. Comments will be collected online now through Friday, November 8, 2019.
