Park and Ride to the Iowa State Fair from Pleasant Hill

The City of Pleasant Hill, Southeast Polk Community School District, Iowa State Fair and DART have partnered together to offer a safe and convenient way to attend the Fair.

The Iowa State Fair will be held August 9-19, 2018 and the City of Pleasant Hill expects to see an increase in traffic during this time. Fair-goers can park their car and ride DART for a short trip to the Iowa State Fair. Three Park and Ride locations are available, one of which is at Southeast Polk High School, with free parking from 8:30 a.m. to midnight each day of the fair.   For additional information on fares and routes, call DART at 515.283.8100.

  • Those utilizing the Southeast Polk High School Park and Ride should enter the parking lot at 80th Street.
  • All parking is at the Senior High in the west and north lots – please do not park on the grass
  • Large camper and semi parking is located in lots between Jr. High & Spring Creek.
  • No overnight or weeklong parking will be available – any unattended vehicles after 2 a.m. will be towed at the owner’s expense and can be picked up at Crow Towing 826 SE 21st St, Des Moines, IA 50317 phone 515.276.9869.
