Resources Not Available Unless Flood Impact Is Reported

Was your residential or commercial property affected by the recent storm? Please report any damage to your property by calling 2-1-1, or entering the information through the online damage assessment reporting system. Damage reports are used by Polk County Emergency Management in order to compile the evidence needed for an emergency declaration through FEMA. Federal resources do not become available unless a certain threshold of damages is met.

Debris Pick Up

Regular garbage collection in Pleasant Hill is on Wednesday’s. All garbage must be place inside the garbage cart to be collected. If you have additional refuse, you may place extra trash bags or large items on the curb with the appropriate sticker to be picked up on your regular garbage day.

Stickers for Large Items ($5) and Extra Trash ($1) can be purchased at Pleasant Hill City Hall and other locations around the metro. More information about extra collection can be found on Metro Waste Authority’s site.

Yard waste is collected through the Compost It! Program. Purchase Compost It! Bags or stickers for weekly pick up through November or drop off at Metro Park East Landfill.
