Pleasant Hill, Iowa Fire Chief Takes New Position

The City of Pleasant Hill Fire Chief, Tom Solberg, has accepted a new position as the Fire Chief for the City of Casper, Wyoming.

“As Pleasant Hill’s first full-time Fire Chief, Tom Solberg has been an integral piece in advancing our Fire Department,” said Pleasant Hill Mayor, Sara Kurovski. “His accomplishments include maintaining a Class 4 ISO rating, moving to 12-hour shifts for staff that will become 24-hour shifts next fiscal year, adding a new ambulance and a new fire truck. He was very fiscally responsible with tax payer dollars. Chief Solberg leaves the Pleasant Hill Fire Department in an excellent position. We are thankful for his service and wish him well in Casper, Wyoming.”

Chief Solberg has served as the Pleasant Hill Fire Chief since 2014. During his four years, he has focused on continuously improving operations and services to residents in the Pleasant Hill area. Chief Solberg’s last day is April 27, 2018.

The City of Pleasant Hill will take next steps to fill this important role in our community.
