Through intentional planning, the City of Pleasant Hill has partnered with Knapp Properties Inc. and Destiny Homes to create a new development offering housing that has become rare in the Des Moines Metro.
“The development of Peter’s Ridge Plat 2 will bring needed mid-level housing to the City of Pleasant Hill, making us a complete city where residents have the ability to live where they work,” said Sara Kurovski, Mayor of Pleasant Hill. “We are thrilled to realize this part of the City’s Comprehensive Plan with Knapp Properties Inc. and Destiny Homes.”
The new development will offer 151 single family units ranging from 1,026 to 1,565 square feet in size. These quality middle-sized homes will assist in filling a housing gap in the Des Moines Metro.
“We have been working toward providing affordable housing for over a year and are emotionally tied to the needs of the buyers for this type of housing development,” said Dan Sparks, President of Destiny Homes. “We are excited to build modern dream homes for these buyers.”
Peter’s Ridge Plat 2 is located south of SE 6th Avenue and is adjacent to Four Mile Elementary School and the new Hickory Glen Park. In addition to adding single-family lots, the development will include extensions to the local trail network and provide a connection to the school and park properties.
