Ebooks and Audiobooks
The library has access to Ebooks and online audiobooks through the Libby app or the Bridges consortium. Online magazine access is now also available. Magazine checkouts do not count against the item limits!
In addition to the materials provided, more access has been purchased just for the Pleasant Hill library. Access is limited to Pleasant Hill residents and residents of rural Polk County. Contact your local library if you live in another community.
You will need you card number and your PIN to access your account. Contact the library for this information.
Kanopy
We now have streaming video available at our library catalog. Click on this link Library Catalog to go to the catalog page. The link for Kanopy is located on the left hand side. Follow the instructions to set up an account. You will need to know your library card number in order to access the Kanopy service. Patrons will be able to download classic movies and documentaries. Over 20,000 videos are available!

Included in the Gale collection of databases is a wide variety of journal and magazine articles. You will need to contact the library to get the password for use:

Credo is an easy-to-use tool for research, homework, and other reference needs. Gather background information on your topic from over one thousand full-text encyclopedias and subject handbooks, as well as 500,000+ images and audio files and over 1,000 videos.
Ancestry Plus
This great resource has many genealogy sources including census data, immigration, military records and more. Ancestry Plus is only available on the computers in the library. Stop in and use this outstanding resources soon.
Brainfuse
The library is happy to offer a database designed for all job seekers including specific resources to aid military veterans. Brainfuse has a wide variety of resources designed to assist in job searches including resume help and access to many job sites. Visit Brainfuse for more information!
